The IFEDA AGM, which took place from the 12th – 14th October 2012 October, was a massive success and four of our Uni-Guard Staff and their partners were there to represent the company. Directors Alan and Carol, Manager Mick and senior alarm technician Pete went along and heard a number of guest speakers talking about diverse topics such as the Fire Safety Order, marketing your business and using graphology with the recruitment of staff.

 

The conference also gave IFEDA the opportunity to introduce a new Fire Alarm Training course, which has been specifically commissioned by IFEDA to provide a detailed training course for those technicians who are responsible for maintaining and installing fire alarm systems. Crucially the course encompasses the requirements of BS 5839 Part 1 2002 (2008). The course complements a number of other specific industry courses run by IFEDA, all of which have CPD (Continuing Professional Development) status from The Construction CPD Certification Scheme.
