We understand that we are currently all facing uncertain times with the ever changing Covid-19 outbreak. The situation is changing daily and as a company we want to do all we can to keep our staff and customers safe as well as staying operational and offering ‘business as usual’ as far as is reasonably possible. We would like to communicate the below to our customers to let you know what measures and practices we are putting in place.

Field Technicians

As a service-based business, our engineers visit various premises and we have put the following practices in place to ensure the safety of everyone involved in our works:

  • Limiting face to face contact with people where possible including not asking customers to sign electronic tablets

  • Engineers carry hand sanitiser in their vans. They are asked to wash hands as much as possible and in every location they are able to

  • Any staff showing any cold/flu like symptoms including cough and fever (Covid-19 symptoms) will be asked to self-isolate at home and not attend work

  • If staff have any family members that show symptoms of Covid-19 the member of staff will be required to self-isolate and we would ask them to encourage their family to self-isolate as well in keeping with government guidelines

  • Staff have been fully briefed with regards to good hygiene and what symptoms to look out for relating to the virus in themselves and others

  • Our engineers have been provided with gloves and are being asked to wear these in all high-risk sites

  • For extinguisher service jobs, if preferred by the customer, the extinguishers can be left outside in a safe place so our engineer doesn’t have to enter the premises

  • If we carry out fire alarm servicing works in apartment blocks, flats or houses we will need reassurance that no occupants are self-isolating and for the interim we will be asking our engineers to NOT enter any private rooms or flats. Servicing will be done in communal areas only and during the next six-monthly service if necessary, the flats/rooms will be serviced

Office Staff

We do not anticipate any disruption to our office hours or office closure unless the government makes this mandatory. We have plans in place for office staff to work from home and will be implementing staff home working when and where necessary for office staff.

Call Outs

We continue to offer 24-hour support for fire alarms and do not anticipate any disruption to this however we will have to make sure that any premises our staff are visiting is safe prior to the call out. If you require an out of hours fire alarm call out please call our office number on 023 9247 0711 and you will be given the contact number of our on call engineer

If you have any concerns at all please do contact us and we will aim to work through this challenging time together.

Our thoughts are with everyone who have been affected by the pandemic and we hope that by working together and remaining positive we will all get through this.

Thank you for your continued support.
