We would like to thank all of our customers for your understanding and patience with us during these rather strange times.

As key workers we have continued to work throughout this pandemic assisting in urgent call outs and works. We are continuously following government advice like most companies and have now implemented extra safety measures so we can carry out the fire protection servicing of your premises with the utmost regard to safety irrespective of whether your premise is open at the moment or not. If you can provide access to your site we can attend and do the necessary checks whilst the site is closed.

We understand that this time is incredibly stressful for all businesses and we do not want to apply extra pressure at this time however we do urge you to think about fire safety and keeping your fire safety compliant and up to date. If this is out of date and you have not informed your insurance company, they may not cover you.

Moving forward we will be trying to contact as many of our customers as possible starting with services that are most out of date to see if you would like us to carry out the servicing. As we still have limited office staff, if you notice your service is out of date or due shortly and you would like to book a service visit, please do phone our office who will be happy to do this.

Our amended opening times are 9am – 5pm and can be called on 023 9247 0711.

We would like to let you know that we have implemented the following measures so that we can carry out servicing and other works as safely as possible:

  • Our staff have received training on infection control and we have discussed our new ways of working
  • All engineers carry a kit of masks, gloves, hand sanitiser, antibacterial wipes and sprays and are asked to sanitise hands on arrival to a job and when leaving a job also.
  • Our engineers can wipe down all equipment that they have touched and extinguishers are wiped down during the service
  • In certain premises our staff will ask for confirmation from you that you have no coronavirus cases on site and if this is the case, we will arrange to come back at another time
  • Ensuring a suitable distance is kept between our engineers and anyone in the premises – two metres wherever possible
  • If any engineers or staff fell ill or develop coronavirus symptoms they have been asked to go home immediately and contact management to let them know

Please rest assured that BAFE have been advised by the Government that fire safety providers are listed as key workers and we can continue to carry out servicing and call outs.

Under the current circumstances if you want to delay your service we would appreciate if you could let us know but most importantly please contact your insurers to ensure this is acceptable with them and we advise this is obtained in writing.

We hope you continue to stay safe and well during this time and please do feel free to contact us if you have any queries or would like to book in a visit.
