 We collect the following Personal data from or about you as a Uni-Guard Fire Protection Limited customer:

  • Personal Data Collected Directly from you through the online Contact Us page includes your name and email address, you may add further information in the “Message” box that could include title, position, phone number and postal address. Our legal basis for the collection and processing of this data is the provision to you of allowing us to provide you with a return communication service.
  • Personal Data Collected automatically from the use by you of the website. The data transmitted from your browser includes your IP address, the date and time of the visit the pages accessed, the access status/HTTP status code, your browser, your operating system and interface, as well as the language and version of the browser software. The legal basis for collecting and processing this personal data is to be able to operate the website and provide you with access to the pages you wish to access.

  • For the administration of your enquiries and our support services (including sales) and to contact you about your enquiry or service/support needs.
  • To contact you with marketing messages which you have requested or agreed to receive from us (for example via a branded newsletter);
  • To contact you with surveys and feedback requests (for example relating to our services);
  • To analyse the visit and purchase history of our customers and the way our customers use the website.

Data Sharing

Uni-Guard Fire Protection Limited will not sell your information. We will only share your information with organisations where we are acting as the middle agent to either introduce you to partner organisation or an organisation that you have asked us to contact on your behalf.  Examples of this may include licensing registrations and warranty registrations. We will seek written and explicit permission from you prior to sharing any personal data. We strongly advise that you read and agree to the Privacy Notices of any third party organisations you wish to deal with including those organisations where we have been asked to act as the middle agent.

We use social media to bring our clients news on latest technologies, product deals, celebratory events, public interest feeds. When posting on our social media we will always seek written consent from individuals whose personal data will be present on public view.

  • Data Collected Directly: your name, title, email address, postal address, gender, position in the contract Service Level Agreement registration process.
  • Data collected/accessible indirectly: photos, videos, special category data, personal telephone numbers, personal address, date of birth (within encrypted backups).

Data Uses

We use your Personal Data:

  • To contact you about and address your support requirements as defined within the service level agreements between our organisation and the business;
  • To contact you with future event marketing messages (for example with branded newsletters or an advertisement on Twitter);
  • To send you surveys or feedback requests (for example after your service appointment);
  • To find out more about our clients and their preferences (for example by analysing your service and purchasing history).

Occasionally we may receive information about you from other sources (such as credit reference agencies), which will be added to the information already held about you in order for us to help supply our services and products to you.

We use third party processors to collect, export, process and store Personal Data on our behalf.

International Data Transfers

We use data processors located outside the European Economic Area only after taking such steps as are required to ensure that Personal Data they process on our behalf receives protection equivalent to that provided in the EEA. Our processors are either certified as compliant with the EU-U.S. Privacy Shield Framework where they are located in the USA or have entered into an agreement with us containing the model clauses approved by the European Commission as providing contractual protection equivalent to that provided by the data protection regulations applicable in the EEA. Data Security

  • We maintain technical and physical safeguards that are designed to protect the security and integrity of your Personal Data, and to guard it against accidental or unauthorised access, use, alteration or disclosure to unauthorised third parties.   • Where we keep Personal Data files on local devices these devices are protected and accessible only to authorised Uni-Guard Fire Protection Limited employees.

Duration of Storage

We will maintain records of your Personal Data for as long as you remain a client of Uni-Guard Fire Protection Limited, or for as long as is necessary to provide our services to you.

In addition, the maintaining of personal data may include one or more of the following:

  • a registered subscriber to our mailing list
  • a registered user of any of our sites, services or products (including warranty and licensing registrations).
  • have completed a purchase with Uni-Guard Fire Protection Limited in the last 6 years;

If you have not opened any email communication from Uni-Guard Fire Protection Limited or interacted in any other way with our brands for 36 months we will regard you as an inactive client and delete your details from our records except where retention is necessary to enable us to enforce our legal rights, or to protect the rights, property or safety of our employees.
